Our mission is to provide a fun and safe learning experience for our students so that they will develop a long term passion for the great game of golf.
LOCAL JUNIOR TOURNAMENT ORGANIZATIONS
The US Kids Golf junior tournaments are held Spring through the Fall and include many sites in Ventura County. The kids are separated by age and play a shortened length golf course depending on their age. A parent/adult is required to caddy for each player providing a good way for the child to learn competitive golf with an adult on the bag. For more information on these events click here.
The VCJGA has been around since 1967 and offers players highly competitive events at local Ventura County courses. These would be recommended for the more advanced junior golfers. There are age brackets starting as young as ages 8-10 and going up to age 17. For more information visit vcjga.com.
This program is great for kids to get their first experience of tournament golf. All events are team based and in a scramble format playing against teams from other local golf courses. This program runs from the spring through the fall (depending on your area). River Ridge plans on offering a team during the summer through fall. More information can be found at pgajrleague.com.
The Santa Barbara Junior Golf Tour takes place during summers and requires a qualifying event in May to be eligible. Similar to the VCJGA, these events would be suited for our advanced class players who have played some form of competitive golf. Minimum age is 10.
